Chapter Listings: About RWA Chapters

One benefit of joining Romance Writers of America is the opportunity to join one or more of over 140 local, online, and special-interest chapters.  RWA chapters offer members the opportunity to come together to discuss the industry, build connections and find support.

Local RWA chapters generally meet once a month and often feature guest speakers who discuss topics relevant to the writing experience. RWA chapters also offer critique-partner or critique-group opportunities for writers, not to mention all-around camaraderie and networking opportunities with other RWA members who understand the ups and downs of the writing life.

In addition to local chapters, RWA has special-interest chapters that are made up of members interested in a particular sub-genre of romance fiction -- such as Regency romance, inspirational romance, or paranormal romance. These chapters meet online, and offer specific support tailored to the needs of writers who are interested in these romance sub-genres.
